The releasing is one of the most beautiful moment that we can live, this is the reward of many efforts but this is also, regarding the near future of the individual a constant anxiety until that the following prove its perfect adaptation.
|
The releasing

The releasing process is composed of several steps:
-Preparation of the program in the natural habitat in order to define the possibilities on the chosen area. This will be followed by a botanic expert evaluation and the creation of a camp.
-After, the releasing itself. Before the gibbons have been submitted under some final exams.
-Then, the following of the individuals in the natural environment and some ethologic observations. This following is necessary to make sure of the future of these individuals in their new environment. These daily followings will be spaced out after a certain time

The
reintroduction of individuals in the wild meets
some problems due to the aggressive contacts with
wild populations.
Indeed, some attacks are often
observed and they can cause death. These factors
can explain the minor number of the
reintroduction initiatives.
But these difficulties dont
have to be an obstacle to the project, because a
certain rigor has already led to good results.

Thus, the reintroduction program
must answer to major problems, like the necessity
to respect the individuals, the sanitary aspects
and the wild populations. So a rigorous protocol
and following are necessary.
Generally begin, no food is
necessary but we will have to feed several
individuals during the critical period after the
releasing when the stress can force them to
escape to some areas poor in fruit and food.
The interest of such
politic of rehabilitation is to contribute, at
the end, to the perpetuation of the wild
populations.
